Orchestra for unaccompanied minors receives major donation

Dream Orchestra was founded in 2016 in Gothenburg as an orchestra for unaccompanied young people. Since then, the orchestra has grown to three ensembles and now brings together over 300 children and young people each week for orchestral music instruction.

The orchestra is now receiving a donation of 4 million kronor from the Stena Foundation to further develop its activities.

Dream Orchestra was founded by conductor Ron Davis Alvarez, who came to Sweden from Venezuela in 2015, where he had run a similar initiative. On National Day, Dream Orchestra will perform together with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
