Freddie Eliasson

Percussion and woodwinds

Freddie is an orchestra educator, primarily within woodwinds and percussion, with long experience of working with young musicians. They have been part of Dream Orchestra since its inception and have had the privilege of being involved in the orchestra’s development and artistic success, while also developing their own pedagogical skills.

Since 2019, Freddie has also worked at Side by Side, where they have had the opportunity to create musical experiences for children and young people from all over the world.

Freddie’s background also includes work with the El Sistema National Orchestra and the Sistema Europe Youth Orchestra, where they have worked with young musicians at various levels and with different amounts of experience.

In addition to their work in Dream Orchestra and El Sistema programmes, Freddie has also been involved with the Kulturskola in Gothenburg and Alingsås during various periods.

Freddie sees music as a powerful tool for development, and they always strive to create an environment where every participant feels included and safe. Their pedagogical philosophy is based on giving each individual the opportunity to grow at their own pace, while at the same time building strong, creative orchestras and groups.

Music should be both fun and educational, and every meeting with the students is a chance to inspire and spark engagement.

In their work, Freddie focuses on creating an inclusive and playful atmosphere where everyone, regardless of background or experience, has the opportunity to grow and develop.
