The 38-year-old violinist and conductor from Caracas is the first Venezuelan to be named a CNN Hero. In the 2024 edition of the programme, which the television network created 18 years ago, he participates with the Dream Orchestra, made up of more than 300 refugee musicians from 25 nationalities in Sweden. Although the recognition makes him proud and he would like to be chosen Hero of the Year to help his project grow, his greatest satisfaction will always be helping young people from challenging backgrounds through music.
