And Ron Davis Álvarez got on that bus!

Ron Davis Álvarez was born in El Guarataro, a busy neighbourhood in the San Juan parish of Caracas. Following the disappearance of an uncle, his grandmother, distressed by what had happened, wanted to overprotect her grandchildren by keeping them busy all day and moving from one place to another. When Ron was between nine and ten years old, they moved to a house in an area between Guarenas and Guatire. His grandmother opened a small shop where Ron helped her sell “chigüí,” and that’s when his world opened up, because right across from the shop there was an El Sistema centre.
