Dream Orchestra’s project manager, Franka Verhagen, represented our association at the networking meeting organized by Zusa and the Insha Osvita in Wroclaw, Poland from May 14 – 17. More than 50 delegates from Ukrainian and European organizations that participated in the Culture Helps Project shared their experiences and made new connections for future collaborations.
For this project, Tempo Music Center and Art Dot in Ukraine and Dream Orchestra in Sweden developed the Safe & Sound project between November 2023 to April 2024. During these months, children between 2 and 14 years old, together with their families, who have suffered displacement and upheaval due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, were part of an enriching and joyful environment through music.
For some of the participants at the meeting in Poland it meant a long trip from Ukraine, between power outages and shelling. The work carried out during these days meant an exchange of innovative experiences to integrate culture into different scenarios.
Culture Helps provides grants to cultural managers and organizations that help displaced people integrate into new communities through culture. "Culture Helps" is a project co-financed by the European Union and implemented by Zusa and Insha Osvita Community
