What meant a challenge from the beginning of 2023, became a reality that was applauded by those who heard the Dream Orchestra students play Danzón No. 2 for the first time, composed by the Mexican maestro Arturo Márquez.
In Betlehemskyrkan, last Tuesday, April 18, DO students shared a music stand together with a group of musicians from the Academy of Music and Drama of the University of Gothenburg, students from the Gothenburg Cultural School and the Suzuki Association of Gothenburg. This orchestra presented a work that has a high academic level and was performed by DO students with different musical levels.
During hours of general rehearsals, sectionals and workshops, all those who are part of Dream Orchestra immersed themselves in an in-depth study of the best-known piece of Mexican Arturo Márquez. This study even included dance classes with dance teacher Yassell Rodríguez.
