Daniel is an education enthusiast. He had not had the opportunity to conduct an orchestra, and now he is the director and head of musical and educational training for Dream Orchestra Alingsås, the brass group that meets three times a week at Equmeniakyrkan Alingsås.   1. What do the students call you?
    My students call me Daniel, which, unlike in my country where teachers have to be called teachers, creates a more familiar approach with the students.
  2. What is the name of your hometown, in which country?
    Bogotá Colombia.
  3. What zodiac sign are you?
    Libra
  4. What do you love most about working in music education?
    What I love most about working in music education is seeing how everything can be made possible. Playing an instrument requires time, patience and passion. Seeing how a child discovers himself through music making him see that everything is possible is a wonderful feeling.
  5. What makes you happy?
    It makes me happy to be able to live my life doing what I like. Playing the trumpet and making music has made every moment of my life full of learning, challenges and constant joy.
  6. What is your favorite book?
    I don't know if it's my favorite book, but it is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. "Ami, the child of the stars'' is a children's novel. A story about a journey towards the search of being to understand the beauty of life. A trip that we should all do.
  7. What is your favorite movie?
    Life is Beautiful.
  8. What is your favorite song?
    I have rather favorite genres like salsa, classical music, bossa that becomes a must depending on the context in which it is.
  9. Anything on your bucket lists that you want to do now?
    On a professional level, my greatest wish is to consolidate more children from the Alingsås Dream Orchestra into a group with strong musical abilities.
  10. How did you get to the DO?
    Through a friend who works actively in the music scene in Sweden and was closely acquainted with the work of the DO.
  11. You are in charge of creating and leading the brass group of the DO, how have you felt about this challenge?
    It has been a beautiful challenge for me, since I had never had the responsibility of directing an orchestra before. 00
  12. What does a student need to start playing a brass instrument?
    Before having a physical quality it is very important to have the desire and the desire to learn.
  13. Brass have always had a reputation for being the most messy and fun in the orchestra… How are your students?
    Totally agree! We have always had that fame. I rather see my students as being very full of energy and enthusiasm for learning. This can be seen in the eyes of others as a disorder. My students have fun!
  14. What sets DO apart from other music schools?
    DO is an orchestra where familiarity is a fundamental characteristic. You as a teacher and the children as students truly feel like a part of something big and important.
